TARGETFIRST, INC. (1999 - 2001), Founder and Chief Marketing Officer
Built TargetFirst from scratch into a profitable business.
- Recruited the entire executive team, including my successor as CEO.
- Raised $5.5 million in seed and venture funding.

D. E. SHAW & CO., L.P. (1996 - 1998), Product Manager
Developed and managed D. E. Shaw Financial Technology's private-label online brokerage product.
- Created business plans and models for the private-label brokerage business unit.
- Created and presented proposals to leading mutual funds and money center banks.
- Created private-label online brokerages for four major clients, including Bank of America. These award-winning Web sites were honored by SmartMoney, Fortune, and the Financial Times.
- Led cross-functional project teams of 6 to 30 developers, brokers, and marketers.
- Completed all client implementations on time and under budget.
JUNO ONLINE SERVICES (1995 - 1996), Strategic Planning
Helped launch Juno Online Services, which merged with NetZero to form United Online (the world's second-largest online access provider after AOL).
- Created business plans and models for brand and service extensions, including free (advertising-supported) Web access.
- Managed Juno's intellectual property portfolio. Applied for and received U. S. Patents 5,809,242; 5,838,790; and 5,848,397 for Juno's online advertising system.
